'Sylvesterklausen', is a tradition in the Swiss canton of Appenzell Outer Rhodes. This medieval custom celebrating the New Year. Their are three different types of 'Sylvesterchläuse' be distinguished, the Beautiful (Schöne), the fining Wüsechte (perfecting ugly) and the Wüeschte (ugly). (text availiable in french)
